ALCAZAR

This particular Fotobusta from the 1940 Spanish Civil War film shows a young man in brown suit jacket with his hands tied behind his back -- the prisoner of the Reds who hold him as a bargaining chip. They are demanding that the Franco forces occupying the old citadel and military academy, the Alcazar, surrender to them. This boy is a military cadet of the Alcazar and his father, inside the fortress, is the Franco military officer in command.  His father tells the Reds that he will not surrender. The Reds then execute this young man in reprisal. A dramatic scene in the Genina film, and a most welcome addition to our collection of ALCAZAR original materials.
