Volldampf Voraus

 

 

Here are two lithographic originals of the poster for the film VOLLDAMPF VORAUS (1933).

On the left, the poster has been partially printed, but the film title, credits, and logos are missing. This is because it is the "Auslandsvertriebs" poster, or "Foreign Distribution" poster. Foreign countries which acquired the film for their cinemas would over–print in their own language the film tilte and other details to suit their local audiences. This poster was purchased from a Tokyo source.

On the right, the finished product for the German market. This poster was purchased in Germany.

The graphic designer was the world-renowned Josef Fenneker.
