"After the end of an inglorious era, there is always a certain tendency to eradicate and forget, to remove evidence and documents from this period from historical use. Bengasi

A scene in Bengasi has Aussie Digger soldiers in the British Army move across an Italian immigrant farmer's land, and they confront him with questions about enemy movements. He denies any knowledge of what is happening in the fast-changing skirmish, and the Diggers taunt him, abuse him, and one in the end, with pure bloody–mindedness, shoots him dead. This Fotobusta from the film shows some of the Diggers beinjg questioned by Italian forces.
