Stukas

This close–up of the bottom panel of the poster indicates that the film was being screened between 3 and 4 June 1944, in the regional town of Bojanau (Bojanov).  As the film premiered in 1941, this poster thus represents a reprise (re–release) of the film for the purposes of boosting sagging morale in the grim year of 1944, and a few weeks before the assassination attempt on Hitler. About fifteen NS propaganda films, inlcluding Karl Ritter's Stukas, GPU, and Über allies in der Welt, were pushed into cinemas across the Reich by the Propaganda Ministry, in this effort. Other films on the list included Ohm Krüger and Jud Süß.
