Scheinwerfer im Nebel

This 1942 film directed by Gianni Franciolini and starring box office stars Fosco Giachetti and Mariella Lotti, was considered an early "neo-realism" Italian film, and is still avaiiable today as an Italian DVD release.  The English title would be Headlights in the Fog. It is a melodrama, following corruption and pressures put upon truck drivers trying to make a living. The poster here is the German poster for the release of the film in cinemas in November 1942, through the DIFU (German-Italian Film Union). Note the "DIFU" logo on the bottom right of the poster. We have the "Werberatschlag" (cinema owner's promotion guide) for this film, which shows both this poster as well as a second poster which is not in our Collection.
