Traumulus

This original German poster for the Emil Jannings film Traumulus is the second version of the poster issued (see our Poster Gallery for the other graphic of this poster:) This poster was damaged but collected by us nonetheless, as it is the Auslandvertriebsplakat, or foreign distribution poster. That is, it was printed in Germany using the stone lithographic process of seven layers of different coloured inks (thus the vibrant colours visible even after 80+ years) but not finished as a completed poster but was meant to be over-printed with foreign language text (such as Japanese Kanjii or a European language) for distribution and promotion of the film in a non–German country.
